Raking Leaves

I noticed I haven't posted in a while. When I went into my folder to grab some recent photos, I realized that November is when I last downloaded the camera.  Camera...where is that camera?! We've been using the ipad and iphone to get some great shots instead because it's usually handy. Having the woods in our backyard makes for a lot of leaves...might as well have some fun!

uh oh, we have a climber

it's raining leaves...
...on top of Beau!

silly!

We Rode Out Hurricane Sandy...

...in Texas! We had our trip planned for 6 months. One of Clay's high school buddies was getting married so we decided to make a family trip out of it. Our original plan was to stay tuesday through Tuesday, but Sandy had other plans for us. Since Sandy was in the way during our scheduled flight home, we decided to extend our trip a couple of days.  I must say, we have AWESOME neighbors! Our neighbor next door, Margi, is our 'Virginia Mom'. She always takes care of our dogs while we are away. This time, she stocked our freezer full of ice in preparation of our power going out. Since we've lived here, we've had major storms and power outages that have lasted up to a week. As it goes, Sandy headed north and our area was skipped by her wrath. What a blessing! Her devastation wreaked havoc on the northeast coast, but our area was unscathed. Wow.

Below are pictures from our Texas trip. Perhaps someone would like to add to these pictures (hint hint ;) ) because I didn't carry my camera with me everyday. Here are a few things we did while away...

Feeding the cows

Hannah thought the kitty would like the cow food

Carter is trying to get the kitty from the corner

Taking a walk down the driveway

I swear, she really did like the 4 wheeler once we got going ;)

The fire ashes looks like snow!

Deep thoughts...

How do you do bonfires in Texas?

BIG!

Carter is hiding...again!

I wish I had a video of this one. CJ kept bringing the kitty to the dog. The kitty would hiss and contort and jump out of CJ's arms.  CJ would get the look of horror on his face and would finally burst out laughing.  We were cracking up!

On a mission

There he goes again.  Too funny!

Ahhhh, she found something

A very upset girl

Ahhhh, Mau makes it all better :)

Humphreys Fun

10 years after my lasik eye surgery, I had to get a pair of glasses for reading and the computer. BOO  Someone else thinks they look better on her, and she's right. That's pretty cute!

Everyday when Clay comes home from work, Hannah taps her head (sign language for hat) because she wants to wear his hat. She gets so excited she gets to wear it every night.

We are enjoying some chicken legs and thighs from the farm. Both kids LOVE to chew on the bones.

Fred Flinstone?

Has to be like big brother :)
I made another post without the kids waking from their naps! Think I can get another one in?

September Ohio Visit

Yes, you read that right.  We are now in November and I'm posting something from September. I have so many things to post that I didn't want to leave anything out. So, I'm picking up where I left off in my photo library. So stay tuned in the next few days, I'm trying to get current on the Klaytie Adventures!

This Ohio trip Clay drove us to Ohio and then hopped on a plane a few days later to go back to work. He left me and the kids at my parent's house for the week. Then he flew back the next weekend to drive us back. It was nice to have a long visit and great to break the monotony of being home all day by myself. Below are some fun moments...

Hannah's shirts always seem to get stuck on top of her pudgy belly...daddy was trying to be like her

Every morning CJ would sit next to grandpa and eat oatmeal.  Notice how close he is to grandpa. This positioning enables him to pluck grandpa's strawberries and put them in his own bowl. Sneaky kid!

Whenever one of us would leave without CJ, he would plant himself at the window near the driveway so he could see the car leave.

CJ hates to ride on anything without a fight and Hannah loves to give anything a try. What a perfect combo. CJ was thrilled to push Hannah around just as much as she was excited to ride in the car.

She kept getting in the pantry to take the paper towels, then  carry them around with her  everywhere.

Some of the silly faces

one of his favorite concoctions is apple sauce, yogurt and peanut butter

If the kids stay alseep a little longer, I might be able to squeeze in another quick post!
