bike ride

Ok, this pic isn't of the bike ride, but cute so it needed a place on the blog. Her new favorite thing is wearing shoes...everybody's shoes!  She couldn't wait to put on daddy's shoes. Hats, scarves, exercise bands, anything that is an accessory this girl wants to wear! 

We ended up purchasing a bike trailer on clearance at Target . That led to us having to get our bikes tuned.  And that led to me having to choose between dumping a ton of money into my 18 year old bike I received from my parents for high school graduation (ugh, 18 years?!?!) or invest in a new bike. The new bike won! You can see my new baby below.

Yes, I am calling this my 3rd child :)  I LOVE it.  It's a Marin and rides like butter!  Ok, enough of me...

This boy LOVES playgrounds. We found a nice one along the bike trail so we stopped for some playtime.

These pictures were taken a month ago.  Miss H now fearlessly goes down by herself.  It's fun to watch the kids have completely different personalities.  H will try EVERYTHING without fear.  To this day, C is still afraid to try things, but after we "force" him, he always begs for more (like riding in the bike trailer). I wish I had a video of the first ride in the trailer. H crawled right in.  C kicked and screamed as we strapped him in.  Clay was riding up and down the street with CJ screaming up a storm! I bet some of our neighbors thought we were crazy!  It was funny.  But, just as we predicted, CJ settled down and started loving the new ride!

August Already???

I can't believe we are on the last bit of summer. Life goes fast, doesn't it? So why not soak up every little bit of life that you can...and sun :) We've been busy around here. After 2 years of living in this house, I think I have it the way I like it. In other words, it's starting to feel like home. After moving a light fixture 4 different times in and out of rooms, I think Clay was ready for me to be done :) He is an awesome husband who has helped me through and through. Thanks Babe! Below are some fun moments in life that I'm lucky to have a camera around to snatch them up...

Happy Birthday Miss Hannah! You truly have changed our lives for the better. Your sassy sweet smile lights up a room. We love to watch you ogle over your big brother. Watching you grow up has been a treat everyday. Here's to celebrating many more!

Someone got their first teeth! One poked through on the bottom a couple of weeks ago and it is now being joined by another right next to it. I tried to get Hannah to show the camera...this is what I got...
