backyard fun

Carter and I took a trip to my friend Lori's house today. We put the babes in our strollers to take a quick stroll around the lake. After 2 blisters from my chaco's, pushing up what felt like 45 degree grades, 5 miles and an hour and a half, we returned from our "quick" stroll. We gobbled down some lunch and then Lori snapped some quick pics of Carter in her backyard. I returned home 40 minutes after leaving her house and I already had these emailed to me...too cute :)

Shenandoah National Park

Clay took the day off from work so we decided to go to Shenandoah National Park. It's a little over an hour from where we live...not to bad. After hiking some miles on the trails, Carter got a little hungry. He's a pro at this bottle thing.

He's becoming a pro at this eating thing too...

A belly full of banana and milk equals one happy camper... or should I say hiker...

Our New Farm

Hi ho, hi ho, it's to the farm we go!

We found a farm to buy milk from and decided to go on a field trip today to check it out. Our milk, butter and yogurt will come from the cows you see here...

Carter got to meet a cow from his cow share. The brown ones are the Jersey cows in which we will get our milk from. This Jersey milk in his homemade formula is what has made him so healthy... Here is a baby...just a few days old. Carter loved all of the animals!

Whew...that was a long day...time to catch up on some nappys!
